I recently had the most incredible experience photographing an Indian wedding at the De Vere Wokefield Estate in Reading! It was one of those classic British days where the rain just wouldn’t stop. Honestly, though, the weather didn’t even put a damper on the celebration. The venue itself is stunning, so we totally took advantage of the beautiful indoor spaces.

The wedding ceremony had a timeless and elegant atmosphere. I can’t even tell you how much I love shooting ceremonies like this—there’s something so special about capturing those candid moments where you can see all the emotions on everyone’s faces. There’s a magic in the air at weddings, and this one was no different! Between the joyful tears, the laughter, and those little looks of love exchanged, my camera was definitely working overtime.

And then came the outfit change in the evening! I’ve got to say, the vibrancy of the Indian attire added such a fun, modern twist to the celebrations. The colors popped beautifully against the backdrop of the venue, and you just knew everyone was ready to let loose. As I snapped away during the reception, you could almost feel the energy in the room—a perfect mix of joy and celebration that was so contagious.

It’s always a special experience to see two cultures blend so seamlessly, and this wedding was a perfect example of that. From the candids that capture the essence of the day to the editorial shots that showcase the stunning details, it was all about telling their unique story.
